Job Summary:
As an OpenText System Administrator, you will perform a variety of support and technical functions related to the OpenText platform. You will be part of the primary support team for the OpenText Enterprise Content Management System which is responsible for maximizing system efficiencies and improving business processes and workflows for the agency. The modules currently being used by the agency are:
Content Server
Process Suite
Liquid Office
Object Importer
Principal Responsibilities:
Make recommendations to and create, provide and maintain complete documentation of any changes to hardware, software, or configuration
Perform application installation and configuration on agency owned server hardware, for Development, Test and Production environments
Provide support and / or consultation to agency as it relates to system performance, security and server resources
Update break/fix and operations support issues through the agency’s ticketing system
Support weekend Production releases/patches and provide a Software Release Management task plan in coordination with the OpenText Application Developer
Support the integration of other client/server and web-based systems with OpenText systems
Track user permissions and rights within OpenText systems based on work objectives and position authorization
Conduct feasibility studies from design, implementation and post-implementation perspectives, for all new project initiatives
Establish design criteria to accommodate changes in legislation, mission, or functional program requirements
Support a smoke testing plan in conjunction with the application developer and quality assurance analysts
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Information Systems or a related field. A Master’s Degree in a related field of information technology is preferred.
Skills and Experience:
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in information technology systems analysis and support
The successful candidate will have at least five (5) years of the experience in the design and support of enterprise level OpenText implementations (using Process Suite OR Content Server)
Possess a broad knowledge of data sources, data flow, system interactions of other enterprise applications (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft) with the OpenText platform
Demonstrated ability in developing Software Release Management task plan and operational documentation
Ability to represent the OpenText platform team in the Change Advisory Board meetings and follow Change, Configuration, and Release Management processes

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
